Christmas Lecture

Welcome back to the Cambridge Prehospital Care Programme for our highly anticipated Christmas 2025 lecture. We have a bumper programme for you before the Christmas break with no less than six speakers in our two hour slot. We hope you can join us for this fantastic evening with festive treats available!

Our keynote speaker is Dr Ben Swift, Consultant Forensic Pathologist and Member of the Home Secretary's Register of Forensic Pathologists. He is an honorary consultant at EHAAT and Honorary Senior Lecturer at QMUL. Ben is no stranger to the PCP and we are very excited to welcome him back for our Christmas lecture. Ben will present on the 'The Art of Trauma', which will no doubt be as interesting and informative as always.

Our second speak is Dr Lisa Ramage, who is the lead of the Cambridge Prehospital Care Programme. Lisa is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine and PHEM and holds a Consultant post with Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust. She is module lead for anatomy and applied sciences the intercalated BSc in Pre-Hospital Care and MSc at QMUL, London. Lisa will present on 'Optimising Cardiac Arrest Care'.

Finally we have a set of quick fire presentations from our Student Selected Component students. Amy Cooper, Laura Herbert, Lucy Randall and Ferdinand Zoettl will deliver presentations on projects which they have conducted over the course of their time with us, gaining experience in PHEM.

This once again looks to be an excellent evening, with a diverse range of topics being discussed before the festive break. We very much hope you can join us for this talk either in person or online.
