The Cambridge Prehospital Care Programme is in partnership with the University of Cambridge to provide an optional module to medical students. At present, prehospital medicine is not included as a structured part of the undergraduate course, but last year we launched this programme to bridge the gap, creating an opportunity for students to access PHEM.

The programme includes opportunities for observer shifts, access to a mentor in the prehospital community, involvement with our educational forums at the PCP and support researching a topic of interest.

Meet our current students

  • Lucy Randall

    I am a medical student at Cambridge in my first year of clinical placements, and am joining the pre-hospital care program this year. I have an interest in pre-hospital and emergency medicine and I am excited to have the opportunities to experience this element of clinical medicine whilst being a student!

  • Amy Cooper

    Amy is a 4th year medical student at Cambridge. With a keen interest in pre-hospital and emergency care, she is excited to be part of the SSC student programme this year.

  • Ferdinand Zoettl

    Ferdinand is a 4th year Medical Student at Cambridge taking part in the SSC programme. He is interested in pre-hospital and emergency medicine.
